Connect Your AI Assistant to The Switch Is On Platform

sio-mcp lets Claude and other MCP clients answer questions from The Switch Is On platform database, Mixpanel, and BetterStack. It can also fix contractor login problems. It’s for Building Decarbonization Coalition staff, who sign in with their buildingdecarb.org Google account.

Connect a Client

Claude.ai and Claude Desktop

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector and paste the endpoint above.
  3. Select Connect and sign in with your buildingdecarb.org account.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http sio-mcp https://sio.mcp.buildingdecarb.org/api/mcp

Then run /mcp in a session and sign in.

Other MCP Clients

Add the endpoint as a remote server over Streamable HTTP. The client needs OAuth with dynamic client registration and the 2026-07-28 protocol revision. It finds the sign-in server on its own.

Reads are open to any staff account. The login repair tools need the admin or contractor_moderator role, and each one shows you the change and waits for you to confirm it. Homeowner names, emails, phone numbers, and street addresses are never returned.
